In a Dream is the fifth EP by Australian singer and songwriter Troye Sivan, released on 21 August 2020 through EMI Music Australia and Capitol Records. It follows the release of his second studio album Bloom (2018), and features the singles “Take Yourself Home”, “Easy” and “Rager Teenager!”.

Sivan described the “concept EP” as “A story that’s still unfolding, this small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh. Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world.”

Bloom is the second studio album by Australian singer and songwriter Troye Sivan, released on 31 August 2018 through EMI Australia and Capitol Records. The album follows up his 2015 debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood, and features guest appearances from Gordi and Ariana Grande. It was preceded by the release of the singles “My My My!”, “The Good Side”, “Bloom”, “Dance to This” and “Animal”.

Bloom has been called Sivan’s “sex album”, as well as “darker”, “more guitar-driven” and “more danceable” than his previous material. It has also been described as containing material about defiant gay expression; the first song, “Seventeen”, is about a sexual experience Sivan had with a man he met on Grindr. Sivan wrote most of the album with American musicians Leland and Allie X. The album’s production was primarily handled by Bram Inscore, Oscar Görres, Oscar Holter and Ariel Rechtshaid.

 Wild (stylised as WILD) is the fourth extended play (EP) by Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, released on 4 September 2015 by EMI Music Australia. It is Sivan’s second extended play released through a major record label after TRXYE (2014).

On 25 July 2015, Sivan announced his fourth extended play at VidCon and described it as an “opening installment, a 6 song keyhole to introduce you guys to all of the music I’ve got coming in 2015”.

On 20 August 2015, Sivan opened pre-orders for the EP and announced three music videos would accompany it. The EP reached No. 1 on iTunes in 41 countries, as well as reaching the Top Ten Albums chart in 57.

The EP will be accompanied by three music videos following the storyline of two male childhood friends involved in a romantic relationship. Sivan dubs the videos under the umbrella term Blue Neighbourhood, after a lyric from the lead single “Wild,” and describes it as a “trilogy of music videos that accompany Wild, and is very close to my heart.”

TRXYE is the third EP (first signed with a major label) by Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, released on 15 August 2014 byUniversal Music Australia through EMI Music Australia. The EP was preceded by the release of the singles “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Happy Little Pill”.

On 5 June 2013, Sivan was signed to EMI Australia, a Universal Music Australia label, but did not reveal this information until a year later. On 26 June 2014, he announced (while at VidCon) that he would release a five-song EP on 15 August 2014, and uploaded a YouTube video simultaneously on his channel revealing the cover art of the EP.

“The Fault in Our Stars” was released on 5 May 2013 as a campaign to help raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation in Perth, Australia. The song had great success, and Sivan added an updated version of the song to the EP.  A new version of the song was released as a promotional single on 13 June 2014.This version was included on the EP. “Happy Little Pill” was released on 25 July 2014 as the first official single from the EP. It charted in thirteen countries, including the United States where it reached number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100.

TRXYE debuted at number five in the United States, selling 30,000 copies after only three days of sales. By July 2015, the EP had sold 70,000 copies in the United States with the combined downloads of its five tracks reaching 371,000. In Australia, sales of the EP counted towards the single “Happy Little Pill”, causing the single to rise from 34 to 10 for the week commencing 24 August 2014.
