American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey release her self-titled fourth album on April 28, 2022.
It is first album in six years since the 2016 album “Natural Causes” and also is her first album as an independent artist.
The album comprises 10-track, produced and written by Skylar Grey herself.
Initially, the album title was “Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Tears”, but she changed to the title “Skylar Grey”.
She released the first single “Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Tears” along with a music video in September 2021. Followed by, the second single “Vampire At the Swimming Pool” was released last November.
On March 17, 2022, She released the third single called “Falling Apart” with an accompanying music video.
It was written and produced by Skylar Grey. The video was filmed by Ryan McKinnon.
Skylar Grey shared on social media, “It’s been a long time since I dropped the first single off my album… I wasn’t ready yet. I’m ready now. this is how I feel about getting older…”

American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey released a new EP “Angel With Tattoos” on October 18th.
Originally, “Angel With Tattoos” was recorded as her third studio album. But she left Interscope Records/KIDinaKORNER back in July.
She decided to release as the independent 5-track EP. It will grow into the album as new songs are added.
This project has two main concepts. One being the sound inspired by her roots and influences, including Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. While the other is its theme, which is mainly inspired by her relationship with her fiancé Elliott Taylor.
She told PAPER Magazine, “With the new music, I’m going back to my roots which are a lot of acoustic and folk-inspired music from my childhood. I grew up listening to Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac and stuff like that. I miss that era in music, and then also I’m just really a fan of strong lyrics and storytelling and singing about true things. So, there’s a lot of story-telling in my songs, straight from my diary. This is the love of my life, Elliott, and I write pretty much everything about him these days, so it’s a lot of love songs.”

Natural Causes is the third studio album by American recording artist Skylar Grey. It is her second album since her stage name change from Holly Brook to Skylar Grey. It was released on September 23, 2016, by KidinaKorner and Interscope Records.
