Whenever Swedish pop princess Laleh releases a new album, it usually will win a Grammy or two here in Sweden because she´s so good at writing songs that people likes to take to their hearts.
Her 7th album “Vänta!” in 14 years follows the pop trends where the ingredients can be heard in a hundred other pop songs which is a shame, she is so eager to get radioplay in the U.S so the English part of the new album sounds pretty much like anything else out there.
So therefor, I´m more glad to hear the Swedish part that has the traditional Laleh sound and it´s also the best thing about “Vänta!”.
Laleh is just as charming as Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany´s in songs like “Svenska 2”, “Tack Förlåt” and “Sand överallt”.
