Kimura Kaela digitally release her new song “Chiisana Eiyuu” on August 22.

This song has been chosen as the ending theme for the animated film ‘Chiisana Eiyuu -Kani to Tamago to Toumei Ningen-‘ which will open in theaters on August 24. ‘Chiisana Eiyuu’ is the latest Studio Ponoc film. It will be comprised of three parts: ‘Kanini to Kanino’ directed by Yonebayashi Hiromasa, ‘Samurai Egg’ by Momose Yoshiyuki, and ‘Toumei Ningen’ by Yamashita Akihiko.

The song was written by Kimura and produced by Watanabe Shinobu (ASPARAGUS) after elaborate discussions with the directors. Kimura expressed her joy to work with three directors she admires.

PUNKY is the ninth studio album released by Kimura Kaela. It’s title contains two meanings “to emit light naturally” and “punk-like.” The album was released in two editions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD edition. The LP was originally announced to be a five track mini-album back in July.[2] Prior the album Kimura released two digital singles: “BOX” was used as the tie-in song to Microsoft’s Surface Book and “Koiwazurai no Buta” which was used as a commercial theme for Kracie‘s Naive face wash. “Himawari” was the theme for the film Christmas Card, and was used as a digital pre-release.

With the release of PUNKY Kimura announced her next tour KAELA presents PUNKY TOUR 2016-2017, which will hates dates from October to March. The tour is divided into two legs: With STUDS TOUR supported by Kracie naive starting on October 18th, and DIAMOND TOUR starts up in January 2017.
