The ARMY doesn’t need “Permission to Dance” to BTS’ latest single, which dropped on Friday (July 9).
The song, co-written by English superstar Ed Sheeran, was released as part of the CD single for BTS’ Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Butter,” which is currently spending its sixth week at the top of the chart. The four-track CD single, featuring both songs and their instrumental versions, are out Friday.

“Film out” is the second Japanese digital single by BTS. It was released on April 2, 2021 and appears as the first track on disc one for their fourth Japanese compilation album BTS, THE BEST.

“Stay Gold” was released on June 19, 2020 as a pre-release single.

BTS has released a new single aimed at the Japanese market just as news comes that the Korean band made sales history in the region.
“Stay Gold” is BTS’ focus single off the group’s forthcoming Japanese-language album Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~. The soothing, uplifting track opens with youngest member Jungkook softly cooing, “In a world where you feel cold, you gotta stay gold, baby” before the song kicks into the blend of bouncy hip-hop beats on the verses and power-pop production on the choruses. Like some of the gems of BTS’ past discography, the song is a comforting pop blanket with its scaling, surging hook encouraging listeners to “stay gold,” delivering empowering words at a time when many need it.
