Known as the vocalist of Hong Kong trio Trekkerz, Mischa Ip emerged as a soloist with “Lonely Beethoven” in 2015. Her first EP The Makings Of collects six self-composed tracks, including the cat-themed “Ball of Wool,” “Visibility” about a singer’s ups and downs, the depressing ballad “Residue” and “God Left All Tears to Men,” which commemorates the singer-songwriter’s late manager.
