“T” marks the first collaboration between Hikaru Utada and 88rising. It was released on April 16, 2022, the same date as 88rising’s first Coachella performance, where Hikaru Utada was also a guest performer.
Utada performed an excerpt of the song as part of their Coachella set and later shared on Twitter that the song had been written and produced just a week before their set.
