“Chime” is the 26th single released by Otsuka Ai. The title track was used as an opening theme for the anime Fruits Basket. The song “kit palette” was originally used as a Kit Kat Everyday Nuts & Cranberry CM song in March of the same year. The song “XOX” is an English self-cover of the song “Dame Dame da” which she originally wrote and composed for Tomita Shiori in 2014, which also Otsuka recorded her own rendition for the iTunes release.
The song was released digitally ahead of the single on July 5, 2019.
