Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Tori Kelly released her third studio album on August 9, 2019, containing what she calls some of her most vulnerable music to date. Appropriately titled Inspired by True Events, the singer touches on “raw” topics including being overwhelmed with emotions, wanting to find her inner youth again, and marriage.
Additionally, she included interludes, something she “always wanted to do,” and titled them with dates where her father, grandmother, and mother are talking to her as a baby girl. A great follow-up to her 2018 Grammy-winning album, Hiding Place, her album gives her fans an in-depth look inside of her thoughts; something they’ve been waiting for.

Soul Searching is the debut mixtape by American singer-songwriter Bazzi, released through Bazzi’s imprint, iamcosmic, and Atlantic on August 9, 2019. It features the singles “Paradise”, “Focus” and “I.F.L.Y.”
Bazzi called the mixtape a “journey of love, pain and growth” and said his intention was to “make a record that felt like summer and make people want to put their windows down and just enjoy it”. Prior to its release, Bazzi said he wanted to release more music to his fans and “continue to build a connection with people”.
