Tal unveils its new self-titled album, which fully reflects the artist she is today.
This is the time it took for Tal to return to the front of the stage with a new self-titled album with very different sounds that make us travel over and able to listen. Since 2013, the success of his second album To Infinity, which has sold over 450 000 copies in France, the singer of 26 years was discreet, preparing his new project with great care. The young artist is surrounded by the best to make an album that sticks perfectly to the skin, which today feels safer to her as she told us exclusively on melty “Today I know more what I want to say. I feel more womanly, more determined, more mature, so I want to tell new things, more involved, with stories that move me and topics that I I want to defend. ” For this album, Tal co-wrote with Raphael Herrerias and Ralph Beaubrun and composed some songs with the help of Ludovic Carquet and Thierry Marie-Louise or sofly & Nius, who had already collaborated with the star in the past.
Composed of twelve pieces, without bonuses, the Tal album opens with “City of Love”, which mixes English and French, like most tracks on this project: “I’ve always sung in English before my first two albums, it’s part of my musical culture. ” This first song tribute to the city of Paris. Then come “Are We Awake” and the time it takes, the clip was unveiled a few days ago. These first two uplifting and catchy singles are very effective and have enabled Tal hit hard to return to the front of the stage. The video for “Are We Awake”, partly shot in Namibia, has already gathered more than 10 million views, which once again shows the popularity of the artist. “The time it takes” is a very effective with its ragga influences, whose message reminds us that we must not miss the essence in this life a hundred miles an hour. Then comes “My family”, a duet with American rapper Fetty Wap, no less! “I wanted to do a duet with an American rapper and I love Fetty Wap and was contacted. He asked a cappella voices and we made music on his voice. It was special but I’m really happy the result. ” We totally love that sound, part of our favorites.
Engaged in his texts, Tal speaks openly about female homosexuality in the title “special beauty” of a migrant who wishes to export his music with his guitar in “Guitarist” or the evolution of the women in society in “flowers and flames”, another of our favorites. “Out of Stress”, “D.A.O.W (Dance All Over the World)” and “Back in Time” are energetic pieces that give even more pep to the album. There remains the title “Peace”, whose chorus reveals a modern gospel the most beautiful effect and “Cri du coeur”. This last title of the album is the favorite of the interpreter: “For me, this song really represents me out there all my origins inside there all my sounds, my different influences (….. ) it represents so much about the fact that I am someone who loves to travel, loves to discover new cultures, I fed it to me and I speak of it in this song. ” Another favorite for this captivating title.
Tal completely reinvents it with modern third album, which gives way to musical influences of the singer and the messages it wishes to convey. The artist takes us between pop and urban sounds. English comes completely strengthen his texts and highlight his voice so identifiable. No false notes for this project, which reserves a bright future. Tal will also tour from February 2017 to defend the colors of this authentic opus, which so resembles him. What do you think of the new album Tal?
