Blue Pool” is the extended play by American singer-songwriter and pianist Vanessa Carlton, released on July 24th as a prelude of her awaited fifth studio album “Liberman“ (that will contain all the songs on the EP), which is scheduled to be released in October via Dine Alone Records.

The first promotional single is the EP’s title track “Blue Pool“, premiered on June 16th. About this upcoming project, she said:

This whole album is paired down and minimalist and this song is an example of how you can turn a traditional piano vocal song into something else. Also I’m a big Philip Glass fan and I love how Steve Osborne (Liberman producer & mixer) was able to turn my swirly piano part at the end into this slippery sounding kaleidoscope

This song arrives after the promotion of her last track “Young Heart“, released in April. Another new track called “Nothing Where Something Used to Be” in a special version live during her Living Room recording session was premiered on July 10th.

The full EP was exclusively premiered via SPIN on July 23rd. The music video for the album’s title track “Blue Pool” was directed by Jesse DeFlorio and officially premiered on August 3rd.

Tracklist:

1.Take It Easy

2.Blue Pool
