“Feel the love / Merry-go-round” is the 51st single released by Hamasaki Ayumi. It’s also her first single in three years since the release of “L” in 2010. m-flo produced the song “Merry-go-round”, it is the first time the artist teams up with them. “Feel the love” was both used as opening theme for the music show “CDTV” for the month of December and in an H.I.S. campaign CM.

A special fanclub-limited CD+DVD edition was released through TeamAyu, featuring the same contents as the regular CD+DVD edition but also including an exclusive interview.

MOON / blossom was Ayumi Hamasaki’s 28th single and the first release in the “50th Single Project” . It was released on July 14, 2010 and reached no. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Charts with 70,568 copies sold. In all this single has sold over 96,490 copies. The single featured two A-sides, as well as remixes and new versions of 4 songs from Hamasaki’s previous album Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus. “MOON” was used as a CM theme song for Honda Zest Spark whereas “blossom” was used as the Zespri “Gold and Green Kiwi” CM song. “MOON” was first released as a Chaku-Uta sample for members of Ayu’s official fanclub Team Ayu with the release of the album Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus. The single was originally scheduled to be released in four editions, with a CD+DVD edition for “blossom / MOON”; however, this was cancelled as “blossom”‘s PV was removed from the single. It later reappeared on the DVD tracklisting for Hamasaki’s 49th single, “crossroad”. This single features a special edition with limited availability that was only sold in the stands of ARENA TOUR 2010 A ~Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus~.   Hamasaki stated on her Twitter that this single had no TV promotion because of her busy schedule involving a-nation 2010. The single is certified gold by the RIAJ for a shipment of 100,000 copies. Note the cover is of the blossom / MOON CD Only Edition.

L was Ayumi Hamasaki’s 50th single and the third release in the “50th Single Project”. “L” represents the number 50 in roman numerals. It was released on September 29, 2010 and reached no. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Charts with 70,715 copies sold. In all this single has sold over 94,573 copies. This single gives Ayumi her 25th consecutive no. 1 charting single, breaking Matsuda Seiko’s record set back in 1988. The PV for “Virgin Road” was shot in Los Angeles and all of the tracks were also recorded there. It was also released in a grand total of 4 editions, two different CD+DVD editions as well as two different CD-Only editions. The single is certified gold by the RIAJ for a shipment of 100,000 copies.

crossroad was Ayumi Hamasaki’s 49th single. and the second release in the “50th Single Project”. The title track was used as a QUALITA CM image song. The B-side “SEVEN DAYS WAR” is a cover of TM NETWORK’s 14th single of the same name. The single included the music video for “blossom”, which was going to be included on her previous single “MOON / blossom”, and for the first time since “Connected” in 2001 Hamasaki doesn’t appear on one of her own PVs, instead JEJUNG appears in it. It was released on September 22, 2010 and reached no. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Charts with 73,691 copies sold. In all this single has sold over 99,021 copies.
