Sì is the sixteenth studio album by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, released on 26 October 2018. It is Bocelli’s first album of original material in 14 years, his last being Andrea (2004). Bocelli duets with his son Matteo Bocelli on “Fall on Me”, and Ed Sheeran provides vocals on and also co-wrote “Amo soltanto te”, which marks the second collaboration between Bocelli and Sheeran after the latter’s “Perfect Symphony” in 2017.[1] Dua Lipa and Josh Groban also appear on the album.

The deluxe edition of the album includes several bonus tracks, while another deluxe edition adds a bonus disc featuring mostly Spanish versions of the main tracks, as well as a French version of “Ali di libertà” and a Mandarin version of “If Only” with Taiwanese singer A-Mei. The album was BBC Radio 2’s Album of the Week, with several of the tracks making their world premieres on the network.

The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and US Billboard 200, becoming Bocelli’s first number-one album in both countries. It is the first classical album to peak at number one in 20 years in the United Kingdom and 10 years in the United States.

Sarah MacDougall – All the Hours I Have Left to Tell You Anything (Album)

The Swedish-Canadian singer/songwriter, who calls Whitehorse home, performs at Mansfield’s Cabaret on Nov. 2.

MacDougall has won two Western Canadian Music Awards for Roots Solo Recording of the Year. On the day she plays Oshawa, MacDougall’s fourth studio album, All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything, will be released.

“It conjures up themes of identity, death, breaking down of relationships, birth and the ghosts we carry throughout,” states a press release. “MacDougall’s writing deftly captures the urgency of life and surrendering to its immediacy. Epic while remaining intimate, lush while staying stark, and melancholy while still managing to celebrate, the record is undoubtedly influenced by MacDougall’s Swedish roots and the vast and dark beauty of the North.”

“All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything builds and evolves from MacDougall’s unique sound, adding dance rhythms, atmospheric guitars and synths to augment her haunting vocals and poetic lyrics. She called on some of her favourite musical friends to join her on the record including Anna Ruddick (Bry Webb) on bass, and Loel Campbell (Wintersleep) on drums.”

2.We Are Fire
3.Drifting Away

Sofie Winterson – Sophia Electric (Album)

Dutch musician and singer song-writer Sofie Winterson has released her sophomore album ‘Sophia Electric’ via Excelsior Recordings.

Sofie has also now shared a video for the track “Half Asleep” taken from the album. She says that the song “is about holding back out of fear. When you listen to the lyrics, you’ll know what I mean by this. The video is directed and shot by photographer Laura Kampman. We were roommates in LA and she shot this video in and around our house. We became good friends and it was special to shoot this video together, since it’s a personal song and it felt natural to let her literally come as close as she does in the video”.

Sofie grew up in a house full of music on a small peninsula in the Netherlands called ‘Marken’, just outside of Amsterdam. From a very young age, her father had all four children singing together and, later on, he even formed a band with them and toured in the Netherlands and Indonesia, where he was stationed as a doctor on the Maluku Islands. Her parents always thought that music was an important part of life, but didn’t expect all four children would have ended up being musicians. Sofie’s sister and brother are in a band called ‘My Baby’ and her older sister is in a band called ‘Blue Crime’. Her whole youth was filled with music and she drew a lot of inspiration from 70’s folk artists as well as soul legends. For her own music, and the latest project in particular, she returned to the folk.

Her new album ‘Sophia Electric’ is a personal document about love, letting go, change and memory. The music was written and recorded in different locations, namely Los Angeles, Lisbon, Haarlem and Amsterdam, but her guitar was always within reach.
